When teens have a problem or need advice, the first person they turn to will likely be a friend or peer. With this in mind, schools like Cedar Rapids Kennedy High School have implemented peer mentorship programs, where upper class students mentor freshman students on topics such as abusive relationships, suicide, bullying and harassment.
